Hi my name is Mary-Lee Sanders/Marie-Lee Sanders (pour les amis francais), I love creating, animals and travel.

I was born on a farm in rural Quebec and I think that's where my love and respect for animal began. As a child, I was always surrounded by dogs, cats, cows, sheep, chickens, geese and befriended many. I remember a cow called Whity, who became a pet, she would walk to the house each morning to greet us, let us ride her, you could just tell she had bonded with us. My dogs Dixie and Dutchess, both German Shepherds, where part of the family and I still morn their loss. My cat Mistigri, who was bottle raised, would follow me everywhere: poor girl, I would dress her in doll clothes and push her around in my doll carriage like a baby.

I now live in a small town and I feel very saddened when I hear that shelters in Canada and the US that are overflowing. So I decided to help, if only in a small way.

I have a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts from Laval University in Quebec City.

NB: On request from some of my friends, I've added some photos. I'm by no means a photographer but since I was on the road for 15 years (before digital cameras where around) I thought: why not ? if it helps than, what the heck...
